Cancellation Process - MLB Plans

Step 1: Cancel Membership in CRM

  1. Open the client’s Contact record in the CRM

  2. Add to notes:“Cancelled on Today’s Date — Add reason for cancellation if we have one.”

  3. Navigate to the Payment section (top right)

  4. Locate Subscriptions & Click the square arrow icon

  5. Click the three dots on the right side → Select Cancel Subscription

If the client has NOT paid for the last month:

  • Locate Invoices

  • Search for the client's name

  • Click the square arrow icon

  • Click the three dots on the right side → Select Void


Step 2: Update IRIS Status

  1. Locate the client record in IRIS

  2. Update the account status to: MLB Closed Account

Add to notes:
“Cancelled on Today’s Date — Add reason for cancellation if we have one.”


Step 3: Update Social Media Scheduling Google Sheet & Remove Recurring Postings

  1. Open the Google Sheet: Social Media Calendar

  2. Navigate to the tab with the current plan they are on

  3. Locate the business name that is canceling

In the same cell as the business name:

  • Highlight the cell BRIGHT RED

  • Add the word “CANCELLED” after the business name WITHIN THE SAME CELL

FOR FEATURED PLANS — Remove Recurring Posts

Navigate to: Recurring Postings in CRM

  • Locate the recurring posts (Pro Tip: CTR F and search for business name)

  • Click the 3 dots

  • Click Delete


Step 4:

A. Website Listing (Set to Draft — Do Not Delete)

  1. Log into marylandlocalbusinesses.com

  2. Go to "Products" & locate the business listing

  3. Search for the business name & Click Quick Edit

  4. Confirm the listing is no longer publicly visible


B. Map Removal (ZeeMaps)

Log into ZeeMaps

Delete the business from the map.


⚠️ FINAL REMINDER:

  • REMOVE FROM RECURRING POSTS

  • ADD NOTE TO CONTACT THAT THEY HAVE CANCELLED
